My church does things a little different than most churches…and I like that. The Bible doesn’t talk about Christmas Eve services and what they should or shouldn’t have or be like. Most of you probably expect a choir and a peaceful candle light service. And that’s fine cause it’s a tradition that you and I both grew up with. But Christmas is the birthday of our Savior and we normally have parties on birthdays so I say why not have a party?!? Here’s what my church looked like on Christmas Eve. PS we had glow sticks instead of candles. Enjoy!
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! I’m writing this from my soon to be in-laws house on my new iPad thanks to my beautiful fiancé. Today I feel beyond blessed. Blessed to have the friends and family I have. Blessed to have the church family I have. And blessed to have my new family by marriage. Thanks to everyone who reads my silly blog. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Christmas Debt
Last week I read this article that 1 in 3 people will go into debt to pay for Christmas presents. That lead me to ask some questions.
1. How would feel if the gifts you received made someone go into debt?
2. How do you plan/budget for Christmas gifts each year?
3. Would you cut back on your Christmas spending so you wouldn’t go into debt/more debt?
Christmas Cards
Growing up my family received a lot Christmas Cards every December. This of course was before Al Gore invented the internet and before everyone e-mailed and was on Facebook. I had a discussion the other night with my fiance about sending out Christmas Cards when we are married. She was 100% for it while I didn’t see the point. Note that only 15% of cards are bought by men. How about you? Do you still send Christmas Cards?
Secret Shopping
I’ve been “secret shopping” with my iPhone for 1 month now. In 1 month I have made OVER $250. Yes $250! I can afford to buy Christmas presents!
There are 4 main apps that I use to make money.
EasyShift has made me the most money…well over $100. Use the code ”chrislvip” when you register.
FieldAgent comes in second place. They have higher paying jobs but also deny jobs if they aren’t done 100% correct…so read the details!
iSecretShop pays for my cupcakes and dinner plus gives me cash but jobs don’t come up often.
WeReward gives you money for checking in places and snapping a photo of yourself. I blogged about them the other day here.
Have you given secret shopping on your iPhone a try? How much have you made?
